In Kobe Steel and French Safran landing system supply agreement signed, in 2013, Kobe Steel began to carry on the development and certification work, at present, Kobe Steel Supply of titanium forgings has received Safran landing system certification. In July 11th 2016, the Farnborough international airshow opened in England, the large titanium alloy forging gear in the air show debut.
The large titanium forgings is by Kobe Steel Ltd and Japan Aeroforge company co production, the two firms is Japan's first successful development and mass production of large titanium forgings lifting frame manufacturer, the production base in Okayama Prefecture in Japan Kurashiki. In the production of the parts, the Japanese Aeroforge is responsible for forging process, while the Kobe steel is responsible for product design, quality assurance, etc..
