At present, the demand for this area is about 4000 tons, accounting for 25% of the total supply of VSMPO-AVISMA company.
Leder Oleg, deputy general manager, stressed that the VSMPO-AVISMA company probably started to focus on and developed the field 4 years ago. In this period, the world's larger medical customers with the company signed a long-term contract. These customers have Johnson & Johnson, Biomet, Synthes, Orchid, Stealth, Zimmer, DePuy.
"From the purity of the material, the quality of medical titanium certification requirements more stringent, but compared with the production of aircraft engine, its performance requirements are slightly inferior to some." Deputy general manager Leder Oleg said.
